How to make it

  1. Assemble the Sandwich:
    • Lay out the two slices of bread on a clean surface.
    • Place one slice of cheese on each slice of bread.
  2. Close the Sandwich:
    • Put the two slices of bread together to form a sandwich, with the cheese slices in the middle.
  3. Butter the Bread:
    • Spread a thin layer of softened butter or margarine on one side of the sandwich. This will help the bread toast evenly and become golden brown.
  4. Heat the Skillet:
    • Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. You want the pan to be hot enough to toast the bread and melt the cheese without burning it.
  5. Cook the Sandwich:
    • Carefully place the sandwich, buttered side down, onto the skillet. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottom side is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Butter the Other Side:
    • While the first side is cooking, spread a thin layer of butter on the top side of the sandwich.
  7. Flip the Sandwich:
    • Once the bottom side is golden brown, use a spatula to carefully flip the sandwich over.
  8. Continue Cooking:
    • Cook the sandwich for another 2-3 minutes on the other side, or until it’s golden brown and the cheese is melted.
