Needed Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets (salmon or tilapia) about 6 ounces each
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges and fresh herbs for garnish

Method

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the lemon zest, lime zest, orange zest, lemon juice, lime juice, orange juice, minced garlic, olive oil, honey or maple syrup, Dijon mustard, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the citrus marinade over the fish, making sure it’s evenly coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove the fish fillets from the marinade, shaking off any excess, and discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Place the fish fillets on the preheated grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets and the type of fish used.
  6. Once the fish is grilled to perfection, transfer it to a serving platter. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh herbs.
